–ACCORDING to her MySpace page, Melbourne singer-songwriter Renee Cassar has accumulated 7.4 million listens to her music. Her latest single for Universal, It's Not You (3/5) ticks plenty of boxes for commercial radio: breathy vocals, sexual innuendo and peppy, rock-oriented instrumentation. Watch this space.–TEXAN alt-rockers Spoon (pictured above) are back with a new EP. The title-track, Got Nuffin (3.5/5), is a surprise. A dirty, rollicking, Queens of the Stone Age-style rocker, it positively rumbles along.–SYDNEY electronic duo Bag Raiders - Chris Stracey and Jack Glass - are part of the Modular family and in that vein have released a peppy, Daft Punk-inspired single Shooting Star (3/5). It's a slow-building electro jam with a sweet climax.–AUTO Tune is dead? Jamie Foxx rolls out the master, T-Pain, for Blame It (4/5) an amusing tale that blames his laments on the a-a-a-a-a-a-a-l-ka-hol.–FINALLY, a nomination for pointless cover of the year. Kram's reading of the Ramones' classic Blitzkreig Pop (2/5) is, just as you'd imagine, a peppy but inferior version. As for the youthful chorus of backing singers hamming along to the "Hey Ho! Let's Go!" refrain? Hmmm. -- ANDREW MURFETT
